This aparthotel offers the perfect blend of Airbnb-style convenience and hotel comfort. The staff were exceptionally friendly, well-informed, and always available to share their knowledge of the city or assist in any way. The location was excellent—just a short walk from one of the main shopping streets. The welcoming lobby, with soft seating and coffee and snacks available to purchase. That said, the area is packed with fantastic eateries, so we were spoiled for choice when it came to brunch and coffee options. The apartment itself was thoughtfully equipped, featuring a dishwasher, washing machine, and tumble dryer. A lift provided easy access to our floor. The layout felt more like a home than a hotel room, with a small hallway, a separate bedroom, a bathroom, and a combined kitchen, living, and dining area. The sofa bed was already made up for our son on arrival and was very comfortable. Having a kitchenette was ideal—it allowed us to prepare breakfast, cook a simple supper, or put together a salad instead of eating out for every meal. The shower was excellent, and our room, which faced the internal courtyard, was wonderfully quiet. The windows could be left ajar for fresh air, which was just right. The bedding was high-quality cotton, and the fluffy towels were a nice touch. While some areas were beginning to show a little wear and tear, the decor was modern and well-maintained. Overall, a fantastic stay—I would highly recommend it.

The location of Native was great - Queen Street is relatively quiet (we were on first floor and didn't hear any traffic noise), but it's still really near the shops and restaurants of George St and Princes St for the gardens and the castle. The staff were very friendly and happy to chat about local attractions. I normally travel with or request extra pillows, which the Native team were happy to provide, although I really didn't need them as the pillows we had in our room were super thick! The room, kitchen area and bathroom were spotless. (I have seen previous reviews mentioning no parking or the rooms not being turned over each day - firstly, Edinburgh is an old city - the hotel is in the Georgian 'New Town' - and was never made to accommodate parking, so visitors with cars will need to consider where the nearest parking is beforehand and shouldn't blame the hotel. Secondly, to reviewers complaining about having the rooms turned over - it's an apart/hotel!! the reason people stay here is to have a degree of privacy and being self sufficient whilst being in the centre of a city - if you're the type who *needs* new towels and someone coming in to clean up after you each day - book a traditional hotel! 🙄)

Located at the heart of Edinburgh, this hotel is a great choice for those looking to stay at a centric, yet quiet/residential area. We were travelling as a family of 5 and the rooms were spacious and well equipped. The beds were spacious and confortable and the staff were incredibly nice and helpful with the questions that arose during our stay. The location is perfect and it is within walking distance of many of the highlights of the city, as well as pubs and restaurants.

Probably one of the best hotels I have stayed in. Great location for city centre bars and restaurants. Easy walking distance to all the main shops. The check in was easy, friendly staff. The lounge is very nice to walk into. The room we had was excellent, clean, very quiet. Small lounge and kitchen with washing machine and dryer which is ideal if you are staying for a few days. Good sized bedroom, comfortable bed. Nice shower room with walk in shower.

Check-in was easy and staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very well equipped, it was so useful to have a little kitchen with microwave, dishwasher, pull out table etc. Lovely to be able to open windows too as so many chain hotels don't allow that now and I need fresh air coming in to sleep well. Location was good, about a 10min walk from the stations and close to Princes St.
