The location of Native was great - Queen Street is relatively quiet (we were on first floor and didn't hear any traffic noise), but it's still really near the shops and restaurants of George St and Princes St for the gardens and the castle. The staff were very friendly and happy to chat about local attractions. I normally travel with or request extra pillows, which the Native team were happy to provide, although I really didn't need them as the pillows we had in our room were super thick! The room, kitchen area and bathroom were spotless. (I have seen previous reviews mentioning no parking or the rooms not being turned over each day - firstly, Edinburgh is an old city - the hotel is in the Georgian 'New Town' - and was never made to accommodate parking, so visitors with cars will need to consider where the nearest parking is beforehand and shouldn't blame the hotel. Secondly, to reviewers complaining about having the rooms turned over - it's an apart/hotel!! the reason people stay here is to have a degree of privacy and being self sufficient whilst being in the centre of a city - if you're the type who *needs* new towels and someone coming in to clean up after you each day - book a traditional hotel! 🙄)

I got a one bedroom apartment on the ground floor. The room itself is huge, a true one bedroom with a separate bedroom and living room area. It felt like a home it was very comfy. The bed and pillows and quilt were soooo comfy, would’ve slept great if the temperature was easier to control. I liked that the tv had Netflix, the kitchen& washing machine were very handy. Having a wardrobe and a safe was nice. Huge windows although overlooking the inner courtyard. Very quiet inside the apartment. Loved the huge working desk and comfy chair! Very clean and well maintained.

Very good location for key attractions, restaurants/bars and everything else you are likely to want on a visit. Friendly and helpful staff. Main area has seating, food and drinks available. The rooms were great: even the Studio Apartment was spacious, clean, modern, comfortable and well equipped (including the bathroom). We stayed for three nights but, with the kitchen and other in-room facilities, could easily have stayed for longer. I would definitely stay at Native again when in Edinburgh. My '8' rating is a very high 8!

Nice one bedroom apartment. Has all the necessary amenities in the kitchen. Has plenty of space although no real good solution for eating a meal. Washing machine and dryer were nice to have on a long trip. Quiet, comfortable bed. No way to block the sun in the living room so closed the door to that room overnight. Staff was excellent. Lots of good food nearby and a short walk to all that Edinburgh has to offer.

We were a large group on a family trip booking 6 rooms. Room was clean, spacious and had good amenities (kitchenette, cookware, utensils and washer dryer) with comfy beds. Dishwashing soap, sponges and detergent were supplied. Cozy lounge. Great location within walking distance to many restaurants and grocery stores.
